Sources told Customs Today that the government received complaints that a huge quantity of foreign origin cloth and tea is being smuggled to Pakistan under Pak-Afghan Transit Trade (APTT). Sources said that one container of duty paid cloth costs Rs 2.5 million while the same container costs Rs 1.3million through Afghan Transit Trade .

Sources are optimistic that the traders will prefer to import cloth through legal channels due to minor difference in prices.
