FBR receives 405,682 tax returns till 11th

ISLAMABAD: Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) has received 405,682 income tax returns till November 11 from the start of Tax Year 2016 as compared to 335,616 returns it received during the previous Tax Year, reflecting a growth of 70,066 returns.

The taxpayers who filed returns manually stood at 11,173 as compared to 8,328 returns filed last year. Sources said that the number of return filing is increasing day by day and categories of individuals, Association of Persons and manual filers have shown increase when compared to same period of the last fiscal. It is expected that the number of return filers would substantially increase in coming days. Breakup of provisional data revealed that the FBR has received 69,598 more tax returns.
