FBR seeks details of assets, properties owned by officials

SIALKOT: The Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) has asked all the officials to submit details of their assets and properties until June 30.

Sources told Customs Today that internal job posting allowance and special allowance of the officers who will not file their assets details till the fixed date will be suspended for three months.

The FBR Member Administration has issued a letter to Collector Customs Ahmed Reza Khan, directing all the staff posted at Customs Intelligence and Investigation and in all RTOs in Gujranwala, Sialkot, Narowal, Hafizabad, Gujrat and Mandi Bahauddin to file their assets detail until June 30.

It is learnt that any official whose property will found beyond his actual income will have to face inquiry and if found guilty then FBR will take action against him.

It is necessary to mention here that FBR is also collecting information from its own sources about property owned by its officials. An official of FBR told Customs Today that all officials of FBR and Customs department have received letters and they will submit their assets details before June 30,2016
