Matter of FBR staffers’ up-gradation pending before PM: Establishment Division

ISLAMABAD: Establishment Division has submitted its reply in the Federal Services Tribunal (FST) in a petition seeking implementation of longstanding service-scale up-gradation of ministerial staffers of the Federal Board of Revenue (FBR).

The Establishment Division’s representative, Zafar Mehmood, submitted the reply before the bench comprising FST Chairman Sheikh Ahmed Farooq and Member Arshad Bhatti.

Zafar, through submitting reply summary, prayed the Tribunal to grant more time for implementing FST’s orders regarding up-gradation of ministerial staffers (Assistants) from BPS-14 to BPS-16.

Zafar stated that FST orders pertaining to assistants’ had been implemented in Khyber Pakhtunkhawa (KPK), Balochistan and Sindh provinces. He stated before the bench that the case of Assistants’ up-gradation to BPS-16 was pending before the Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif.

Afterward, the Tribunal adjourned the hearing till October 11. The Tribunal was hearing the petition filed by FBR employ Saadullah Bhatti. Saadullah approached the Tribunal for implementation of its decision regarding their up-gradation from BPS-14 to BPS-16.
