FBR starts audit of banking transanctions from Feb. 29

KARACHI: Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) authorities started audit of those persons who made huge bank transactions. This audit is started from February 29.

Sources of FBR informed Customs Today that FBR already finalized the data of such persons who are alraedy selected for audit. Sources said that during the audit FBR authorities will examine whether the account holder paid the real tax or not. Sources revealed that those found involved in tax evasion will have to face tough penalities.

It is pertinent to mention here that FBR collected data of 10,00,00 persons on February 15 for this purpose.
