ISLAMABAD: The Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) has responded to the Cabinet Division about the up-gradation of BPS-16 officers to BPS-17 that their up-gradation will not affect the duty of the Assistant Collectors (ACs) because ACs belong to Pakistan Customs Service while the BS-16 officers belong to Departmental Cadre of Customs.
As per details, the FBR has informed the Cabinet Division that there was no legal anomaly in the proposed up-gradation of senior BPS-16 officers of Customs into BPS-17 as earlier the Cabinet Division had returned the summary forwarded by the FBR suggesting up-gradation of senior BPS-16 officers of Customs into BPS-17 and had marked several anomalies.
