FBR suspends performance allowance 16 officials

KARACHI: The Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) has suspended the performance allowance of 16 officials. All these officials belong to grade 17 and grade 18.

Sources told Customs Today that the performance allowance was equal to their basic salary. A notification is already issued in this regard. The officials whose performance allowance has been suspended are Salman Haider, Shamim Farooqi, Shamasud Huda Khan, Nasir Jamshed, Usman Siddiqui, Asad Arain, Amin Qureshi, Raheel Warsi, Qamaruz Zaman, Imran Asif and others.

Sources told Customs Today that the performance of the said officials was not satisfactory and they even did not submit their tax returns. They were warned several times to improve their performance but they failed to improve the same and in the result their performance allowance suspended till further orders.
