KARACHI: The Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) has terminated the services of six preventive officers. All the terminated officers belonged to BS-16.
Sources told Customs Today that among those who were terminated included Zulfiqar Ahmed Khan, Jabbar Khan Niazi, Mohammad Yameen, Ijaz Ahmed, Zahid Ali Siddiqui and Munir Hussain. Sources said that after receiving many complaints, the FBR authorities decided to constitute an impartial inquiry commission headed by Additional Collector Mohammad Tahir.
Sources said that that inquiry commission in his final findings found all the above mentioned preventive officials involved in mis-conduct and other illegal activities. The inquiry commission decision was also endorsed by Member Administration. Sources said enough time was provided to these preventive officers to defend themselves on the charges leveled against them in the charge sheet.
