LAHORE: The Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) has directed the officials all over the country to bring brick kiln owners in tax net.
An official said that the FBR has given instructions to all Regional Tax Offices to ensure the filing of tax returns of all brick kiln owners in their jurisdictions. He said that the FBR was enlisting all brick kilns with the cooperation of the Punjab Labour Department.
According to the FBR directions, all brick kilns owners have to file their income and expense returns to the department regularly. On the other hand, the official said, “We are struggling to motivate the owners to submit their returns.”
