ISLAMABAD: The Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) has decided to take stern action against non-filer employees and officers, it is learnt here.
Sources said that FBR has sent letters to the higher authorities of all divisions, ministries and its subordinate institutes directing them to ensure the submission of tax returns of their employees and officers.
They added that FBR will bring all non-filers working in government and semi-government organisations to the table, if they failed to comply with the instructions for filing of tax returns.
On the other hand, all departments have issued directives to all officials to ensure the filing of their returns in order to avoid any legal action against them.
