FBR to launch tax awareness campaign in May

ISLAMABAD: Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) Facilitation and Taxpayer Education (FATE) will launch tax awareness campaign for universities’ students in next month, May all over the world.

FATE will organise first ‘Tax Fair’ at National University of Science and Technology (NUST) on May 20, while FBR and administration of university has agreed upon that students will participate in the fair with zeal and will play role to make this campaign successful.

In the fair, FBR will set-up various stalls to educate the students and also brief them about the importance of tax in the development of country. FBR officials will also inform the students regarding the usage of collected tax and distribute tax related literature.

Similarly, second tax fair will be arranged at Preston University. The aim of such activities is to persuade the new generation to get register voluntarily with tax department in future.
