The ongoing chief commissioners’ conference has single point agenda of achieving the revenue targets during the second quarter, besides overcoming the shortfall, he informed, adding that a strategy will be developed with the suggestions of all chief commissioners to increase the revenue collection from growing sectors and meet the goals.

“Performance of the FBR should not be assessed on a daily basis, while we should wait until the results of second quarter, before raising questions on the performance,” the chairman suggested.

The performance of every regional office and large taxpayers unit will be reviewed individually in order to trace the causes of revenue shortfall, he said, adding that no compromise will be made on any kind of negligence.
