LAHORE: The Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) is going to launch an incentives scheme for the general public in order to promote tax culture in the country.
According to the details, the FBR has made a new scheme to give incentive to the public members who will shop from such outlets that issue invoices against the shopping to their customers.
The incentives will be given to the public members under the new article which has been introduced in Finance Bill 2015-16.
The article has been added in the finance bill for the sake of awareness among the general public and to urge them to purchase their households and other goods from the shopkeepers who are registered and issue invoices, sources said.
Officials said that such practice will enable the government to tab full potential of revenue collection.
