KARACHI: The Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) has decided to take stern action against the owners of luxury vehicles for the collection of more taxes.
As per details, the FBR is in search of those owners, who have purchased luxury vehicles, to ascertain their source of income.
According to details, Regional Tax Office-III (RTO-III) is investigating income sources of the owners of 1000cc vehicles who were registered in RTO-III. The FBR has directed car assemblers and Customs authorities to inform about the sale of vehicles during the period of 2010-2015.
It is pertinent to mention here that Motor Vehicle Registration Authority has submitted the record of 821,000 registered vehicles.
