FBR’s investigation wing launches campaign against ‘high net worth individuals’

ISLAMABAD: The Federal Board of Revenue’s Intelligence and Investigation (Inland Revenue) has launched a campaign against the high net worth individuals (HNWIs), who are involved in mis-declarations, concealment of income and tax evasion.

Sources said that the intelligence wing has framed several cases against such HNWIs based on data analysis of third party sources, documentary evidence and analysis of banking information and returns/statements. The focus of investigations would result in recovery of evaded amount of duties and taxes from such persons.
