The bench will hear Shafqat Mahmud’s complaint about ‘promotion’; Khalid Mehmood’s case of ‘seniority’; Ghulam Ishaq Kiyani and Ata ur Rehman’s cases on ‘withholding of two annual increments’.

The bench would also hear Inam ul Haque’s appeal on ‘implementation’-the matter pending for decision since 2009; Ejaz Ahmed Bajwa’ appeal on ‘restoration of appeal’; Ghulam Ishaq Kiyani’s appeal on ‘withholding of two annual increments’ and Atta ur Rehman’s compliant on regarding withholding of allowance.

Appellant Inam ul Haque had filed petitions regarding implementation of FST decisions by the FBR. They had been granted their due promotion but yet the FBR had not implemented tribunal’s orders in letter and spirit. They had pleaded the tribunal to ensure implementation over its earlier given decisions.

Meanwhile, Federal Service Tribunal (FST) on Tuesday held hearing of three service-matters challenging administrative measures of Federal Board of Revenue (FBR).

Meanwhile, FST division bench comprising Justice (r) Syed Zahid Hussian and Member Muhammad Javed Iqbal Kasi held hearing of only one case filed by Haroon Ahmad. The bench adjourned hearing till second week of November following submissions by the counsels seeking time to frame arguments on the case about the dismissal of Haroon Ahmed from services.

Haroon Ahmed had filed this case pertaining to ‘dismissal’ from services. He had filed this case in 2014. He had prayed the tribunal to direct the FBR on restoring his services by setting aside the ‘dismissal’.

He had submitted that the action taken against him by the FBR was illegal and in violation of service rules. He said that administration had also not issued him pre-dismissal notice.

Another bench of tribunal comprising Syed Rafique and Dr Nazir Saeed also adjourned hearing of couple of cases filed by Habib Ahmed and Adnan Khurshid Cheema.

The former had filed cases seeking implementation of FST decision while the later had sought interim relief from the tribunal. The bench held brief hearing of the cases and then was adjourned to different dates simply.
