FIA arrests 66 deportees, 11 human traffickers from Sialkot

SIALKOT: The Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) has taken into custody 66 persons from Sialkot and Lahore airports, which were recently deported from Turkey.

According to the Deputy Director FIA Gujranwala Region Ch Khalid Anees, the human traffickers had sent them to Turkey through Iran and Afghanistan after extorting big amounts from them.

The FIA has also arrested two notorious proclaimed offenders (POs)  Mohsin Ali and  Afzaal Ahmed besides arresting 11 human traffickers from Sialkot, Narowal, Gujrat, Mandi Bahaud Din, Hafizabad and Gujranwala districts during a crackdown against them which was conducted in the light of the  interrogation from the 66 accused persons.

He said that the accused had been running a black business of sending the innocent people abroad especially Greece, Spain, Italy, Switzerland, France, other European and Middle East countries and the Gulf states through launches , boats, oceans and the hilly areas  by extorting huge amounts from them, in this regard.
