FIA arrests a fake passport holder, accused involved in hundi business

LAHORE: Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) officials arrested accused running illegal business of hundi, besides arresting a passenger at Allama Iqbal International Airport Lahore, travelling to UK by using bogus passport.

As per details, FIA team while checking the passport found that a passenger was going to travel on a fake passport on a private airline No. TK-714. FIA arrested the accused and sent to anti-human trafficking cell Lahore for registration of case.

In another case FIA arrested a black listed passenger, Abid Mahmood travelling through flight number PK-898.

Similarly, FIA team under the supervision of Additional Director FIA Lahore, Javaid Hussain Shah and other team members including Inspector Nasir Hussain Awan, Abdul Qayyum, ASI Rana ijaz, Ashiq, Iashfaq, Shafqat Jabbar, Ahmaed Hassan raided the Mir Wais Rice Dealer at Ghalla Mandi Okara.

FIA team arrested a person namely Nauman running an illegal business of hundi, and recovered PKR 52,000, large quantity of receipts regarding hundi, cheque books, deposit slips and visiting cards from his possession.

FIR number 84/15 was registered against Mir wais, Rao shiefiq and Nauman and further investigations are under process.
