FIA arrests a suspect of hundi, hawala

LAHORE: The Federal Investigation Agency has arrested a person allegedly running an illegal business of hundi and hawala.

As per details, FIA Deputy Director Jameel Khan on sources-based information conducted a raid near Shah Alam Market, Lahore along with his team comprising Inspector Nasir Awan, ASI Badar, Maroof and Shafqat. The official apprehended a person named Asif Khan who was found involved in illegal business of hundi and hawala.

During search, the FIA recovered Rs 1.49 million, registers regarding hawala, manual receipts regarding hundi, visiting cards, ledgers, mobile phone and photocopies of different computerised national identity cards from his possession.

An FIR No 89/2016 has been lodged under Section 4,8,23 against the accused persons, while accused investigation been started against Asif Khan.
