FIA arrests four human traffickers in different raids

LAHORE: The Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) has arrested four human traffickers from different areas.

Sources told Customs Today that anti-human trafficking cell of the agency raided different areas of Gujranwala division and arrested Muhammad Shahbaz son of Muhammad Ramzan — CNIC No. 34101-2326129-1. He was wanted in FIR No. 332/2013 dated 24-05-13 u/s 17/22 EO 1979. Court had also declared him a proclaimed offender.

Muhammad Maroof son of M.Yaqoob — CNIC No 34101-2718683-3 was also booked by FIA in case FIR No. 300/16 dated 25 -03-16 u/s 17/22 EO 1979.

Muhammad Muneer son of Shaukat Hussain — CNIC no 34104-1666614-7 was nominated in case FIR 268/16 dt 16.03.16, u/s 17/22 EO 1979.

Another accused namely Shahid son of M. Waliyat, a resident of Diwan Deera Kunjah Gujrat — CNIC No. 342010-507011-1 was also booked by FIA in case FIR 573/16, dt 11.06.16 U/S 17(1) 22(B) EO 1974, 3/4 HTO 2002

All accused were arrested from different cities of Gujranwala division. The FIA has registered cases against the culprits under sections of human smuggling and fraud with citizens.

Arrested accused persons were involved in sending innocent citizens to foreign countries on bogus documents and also in looted millions of rupees. The FIA also recovered passports and currency of different countries from their possession. The FIA has shifted them to unknown place for further investigation.
