SIALKOT: The Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) has arrested a travel agent involved in running a business of fake visas of different countries and recovered fake documents from his possession.
The arrested human trafficker had been involved in smuggling of people in the guise of a travel and tour agency. Source said that the FIA officials recovered dozens of passports and Computerised National Identity Cards (CNICs) from his possession.
“The traffickers had extorted millions of rupees on the pretext of sending people abroad, particularly European countries,” sources said, adding that a team, led by Inspector Shahid Mehmood Ghuman conducted a raid at an illegal and unauthorised travel agency working without license named Great Travel and arrested Kashif Khan.
A case has been registered against the accused, while further investigation is underway in this regard.
