FIA arrests illegal money changer from Faisalabad

FAISALABAD: The Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) has arrested a person allegedly involved in running business of currency exchange illegally.

According to the details, a team of FIA conducted a raid under the supervision of Deputy Director Syed Imam Ali Zaidi along with Sub-Inspector Taimoor Haider to arrest the accused person.

The team raided illegal currency exchange outlet, “Ghulam Rasool Currency Exchange” Saeed Bazar Silanwali, Sargodha and recovered foreign currency worth Rs 1.88 millino, Saudi Riyal 67,511, UAE Dirham 50.

The FIA arrested accused persons Muhammad Sabtain and Muhammad Javaid on spot and registered a FIR No. 384/2016 under section 4, 5, 8, 23 FER 1947.
