FIA arrests illegal money changer from Mianwali

FAISALABAD: The Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) has arrested a person allegedly involved in running currency exchange business illegally in Mianwali city.

According to the details, a team conducted a raid under the supervision of Faisalabad FIA acting Deputy Director Syed imam Zaidi to arrest the accused person.

The team raided a illegal money exchange namely Hasmi Traders Liaqat Bazar, Mianwali and recovered 62500 Saudi riyal worth Rs 1.74 million, Pakistani bonds worth Rs 4.089 million and Pakistani currency Rs 134,000.

During the raid, the official also arrested accused Proprietor Khawar Fiaz Hasmi son of Fiaz Hussain Shah on the spot and lodged FIR No 413/2016 under Section 4′ 5′ 8″ 23. Further investigation is underway under the supervision of Sub Inspector Muhammad Javed.
