FIA arrests nine human traffickers in Sialkot, Gujrat, Hafizabad

SIALKOT: The Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) has arrested as many as nine notorious human traffickers during a crackdown against them.

The arrested accused include Muhammad Sarwar, Mujahid Abbas, Muhammad Saleem, Munawar, Arshad, Rehmat and Nasir from Sialkot, Gujrat and Hafizabad.

According to the Deputy Director FIA Gujranwala, Sikandar Hayyat Malik, the suspects were wanted by the FIA in several cases of human trafficking, saying that the accused had been running their illegal business of sending the local innocent people abroad especially in Europe, Greece, UK, Iran, Turkey, Cyprus and Gulf States illegally by extorting heavy amounts.

FIA teams have also seized the dozens of the passports, fake diplomatic documents, fake medical certificates and fake stamps and embossing stamps from the offices of the above-mentioned human traffickers.

FIA has sent the accused behind the bars after registering separate cases against them. Further investigations are underway, in this regard.
