FAISALABAD: The Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) Faisalabad has arrested a suspect who is allegedly involved in sending innocent people aboard illegally.
Sources told Customs Today that Deputy Director Syed Imam Ali Zaidi received information that a person is running illegal business of sending people abroad after extorting huge amounts from them. He constituted a team comprising Sub-Inspector Shoaib Ahmed Haroon and constables Ilyas Ahmad and sepoy Noman Bashir.
The FIA team raided Ali Housing Colony and arrested Muhammad Shahbaz Sabir under Immigration Ordinance (17/22). Sources said that FIA team recovered passports, visa stamps, medical certificates from the possession of accused. The FIA authorities shifted the accused to unknown place while further investigations are still in progress.
