LAHORE: A team of the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) has arrested a proclaimed offender and human trafficker in an intelligence-based operation.
Sources told Customs Today that the anti-human trafficking cell of the agency raided a locality in Gujrat and arrested an accused who was identified as Azhar Iqbal. The FIA has registered a case against the culprit under sections of human smuggling and fraud with citizens.
Arrested accused were involved in sending innocent citizens to foreign countries on bogus documents and also looted millions of rupees in frauds on the wake of sending them abroad. FIA also recovered passports and currency of different countries from his possession. Number of complaints were registered against accused in this regard. FIA has shifted them to unknown place for further investigations and prosecution.
