FIA arrests three illegal immigrants from Zambia, Nigeria

LAHORE: The Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) has arrested three illegal immigrants from different areas of Lahore.

According to the FIA officials, the three foreigners were living in Lahore illegally even their visas were expired. The Federal Investigation Agency arrested them during special operation against illegal immigrants. Arrested foreigners belonged to African countries Zambia and Nigeria.

The FIA has registered a case and further investigation was underway.

During another action in Mian Channu and Multan, the FIA arrested Muhammad Ramazan and Abdul Rashid who were involved in illegal currency trade. They were doing currency exchange business without acquiring a no-objection certificate from the department concerned. The FIA registered a case and started investigation. The FIA also recovered foreign currency, including dollars, pounds and dirhams.

The accused were running illegal currency exchange business in Multan and Mian Channu of southern Punjab.
