LAHORE: The Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) has arrested three human traffickers during operations in different areas of Gujranwala division.
Sources told Customs Today that anti-human trafficking cell of the agency raided Noshehra Virkan, a locality near Gujranwala, and arrested Muhammad Tariq son of Muhammad Ashraf and another accused Muhammad Sadique.
The FIA has registered cases against the suspects under sections of human smuggling and fraud with citizens.
Arrested accused were involved in sending innocent citizens to foreign countries on bogus documents and also looted millions of rupees in frauds on the wake of sending them abroad. FIA also recovered passports and currency of different countries. Number of complaints were registered against these accuses in this regard. FIA has shifted them to unknown place for further investigation and prosecution.
