FIA books ex-Nadra chairman in corruption case

ISLAMABAD: Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) has registered a case against former National Database Registration Authority (Nadra) chairman Imtiaz Tajwar after the completion of investigation in a corruption case.

FIA, after the approval of the ministry of interior, has registered FIR against Imtiaz Tajwar under the clause 5(2)47PCA of corruption and abuse of power.

According to investigation, Imtiaz was accused of irregularities committed during his stint. Investigation revealed that the accused used funds of Nadra for his personal uses and misused his power to pay his children visa fee and also presented expensive gifts to his relatives.
