FIA detects 115 cyber criminal gangs fleecing people in Gujranwala region

SIALKOT: As many as 115 cyber criminal gangs have been fleecing the innocent and simple people by showing them the dreams of their lucid future, having the complete command on computer, internet, social media and information technology in the region, as a sensitive agency Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) has detected these cyber criminal gangs. These gangs have already completed the advanced hacking courses as well.

According to the senior FIA officials, the young girls and females of these gangs have been playing their pivotal role in fleecing and looting the people by developing their “friendship” with well off people through mobile phones or internet, as such cases in a big number have came under the light in Gujranwala region’s all the six Sialkot, Narowal, Gujrat , Mandi Baha-ud-Din, Hafizabad and Gujranwala districts now a days, which was a point of grave concern, as these girls and females have deprived most of the of their livelihood earnings through this fraudulent friendships.

FIA has also compiled a data by taking the help of the cellular companies and internet and it has confirmed that as many as 115 cyber criminal gangs were active in the region, which have swindled the millions of the rupees from the people through frauds by misusing the information technology.

The senior officials said that there was law against the cyber crimes in the country and the special teams would soon start legal action against these gangs under this law as well.

It was worth mentioning that a gang of the swindlers was very active in the society and its female and male members were used to sell surf products by offering them the commercial and residential plots. The accused swindled millions of rupees from more than 300 people in the region.
