FIA registers 147 cases against travel agent accused of Rs 330 million fraud

SIALKOT: The Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) has registered as many as 147 cases against Daska-based travel agent Muhammad Ikram Mughal.

Mughal fled from the country after swindling Rs 330 million from hundreds of people of Daska, Sialkot, Sambrial and Shakargarh by offering them lucrative Umrah and Hajj packages.

The FIA has registered the cases against the fugitive accused on the complaints of the affected people.

Meanwhile, the FIA has started returning the passports to their owners after completing the legal process. A week ago, the FIA had recovered around 4,000 passports during a raid at the Mughal’s place.

The FIA officials said that they were contacting Interpol for the early arrest of the accused.
