Chief Collector Appraisement South Abdul Rashid Shaikh seeks revenue reports of first quarter

KARACHI: Chief Collector Appraisement South Abdul Rashid Shaikh, through a letter, has asked the all three field formation Collectorates i.e. Customs Collectorate Appraisement West, Appraisement East and Appraisement Port Qasim to submit a detailed revenue related report of the first quarters of the fiscal year 2016-17.

The Federal Board of Revenue (FBR), at the start of fiscal year 2016-17, had asked all the Collectorates to submit detailed revenue reports on quarterly basis so that the exact revenue statistics could be obtained from the start and until the end of the fiscal year .

Following the directives of the FBR, the Chief Collector-Appraisement South Abdul Rashid Shaikh has asked the field formation Collectorates including the Customs Quetta and Customs Gwadar to submit the revenue figures by the end of first quarters of the FY2016-17 during the first week of October-2016.

The sources informed Customs Today that the authorities of all field formation Collectorates have already compiled the revenue related reports and would submit the same before the Chief Collector-Appraisement (South) on Monday (today).

The sources further said that the revenue reports from all field formation Collectorates are revealed that the field formation Collectorates have achieved the revenue target set by the FBR by the end of first quarters of the Fiscal Year2016-17.

The sources further said that the field formation Collectorates through an effective strategy have achieved the revenue related targets in all terms including customs duty (CD), sales tax (ST), income tax (IT) and federal excise duty (FED).
