FIU Khushab seizes non-duty paid Toyota Corolla car‏

FAISALABAD: The Field Investigation Unit (FIU) of the Customs Intelligance and Investigation in Khushab has seized a non-duty paid Toyota Corolla car model 2005 bearing registration No. ARB-687 (Sindh) worth Rs 1,500,000.

Sources told Customs Today that Deputy Director Riaz Hussain received information regarding some smuggled attempts.  He constituted a raiding team comprising Chaudhry Saeed Hayat, Muhammad Saleem and Muhammad Ilyas (IO) and sepoys Masood Iqbal, Muhammad Shehbaz, Musadiq Ahmad, Muhammad Ashraf, Muzamil Hussain and Muhammad Anwar.

The customs team intercepted smuggled Toyota near Chandi Chowk district Mianwali the vehicle was smuggled from Quetta via Loralai- Sakhi Sarwar- Dera Ghazi Khan Mainwali to Islamabad.

The customs team asked the driver of the vehicle to produce legal documents rgarding possession of vehicle but he failed to provide any relevant documents.

The customs FIU seized the vehicle and forwarded the case to customs adjudication.
