The Toyota Corolla was taken into possession in Hayatabad area of Peshawar when customs officials were performing duties. The car driver failed to prove the legal status of the car.

The sources at the Customs House Peshawar further informed CT that the Anti-Smuggling Squad also impounded a Honda Motor Car (U/S 157).

The ASS, during another raid on a showroom, has taken into possession a Suzuki Cultus car-2005 (U/S 157) on a prior tip-off given by sources.

Collector Customs at the MCC Peshawar has appraised the seizures of the NDP vehicles and said the Customs House Peshawar is doing its best to arrest the smuggling and promote the culture of licenced vehicles on roads.

Collector Customs Gul Rahman ordered the Customs Squad of the MCC Peshawar to closely monitor the trafficking of vehicles in order to eliminate the risk of smuggling NDP cars throughout the province of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

The Collector Customs encouraged the Customs Squads to conduct raids in order to impound the NDP cars and goods which might add bigger part to the revenue collection of current month of FY 2017-18.
