Focus on quality of products, Governor Ebad asks traders

KARACHI: Sindh Governor Dr Ishratul Ebad Khan has asked the traders and manufacturers to focus on quality of products meet the international standards.

He said this in his message delivered a ceremony of 5th Quality Standard Award 2015, organised by The Consumers Eye Pakistan (TCEP).

The governor in his message lauded the services of Pakistan Standards and Quality Control Authority and The Consumers Eye Pakistan for the promotion of Standards and Quality in Pakistan. He stated, “Quality Standard Award is a positive initiative as these awards have been given to only those organisations and individuals, who maintain outstanding capability to manage their products, services, customer relationship, leadership and customer satisfaction.”

In his welcome address, Quality Standard Award CEO and TCEP Chairman Umar Ghauri thanked guests and congratulated award winners. He said that Quality Standard Award is tribute to the businesses that cares quality and maintain standard at highest level in Pakistan.

FPCCI’s Waseem Vohra as chief guest appreciated organisers and extended FPCCI’s full support to the management of Quality Standard Award. He appreciated TCEP Chairman Umar Ghauri for his excellent services towards the promotion of quality standards in Pakistan.

He congratulated winners for their unrelenting struggle making their products and services an outstanding success for their customers. M A Jabbar of Pakistan Standards and Quality Control Authority (PSQCA) highlighted the importance of standards and working of PSQCA.

Congratulating winners, he showed confidence in business community that they will be more conscious about the quality standards for the betterment of the economy. Malir Deputy Commissioner Deedar Hussain Baloch on behalf of Karachi commissioner appreciated the activity of Quality Standard Award and assured full support.

Dewan Cement CEO Syed Mohammad Anwer, Lucky Cement GM Syed Nusrat Ali, OneApple CEO Tahir Rizvi and Naheed Super Market owner Abrarud Din owner also spoke on the occasion.
