Four FTO proposed offices start operations

ISLAMABAD: The proposed offices of Federal Tax Ombudsman (FTO) in Abbottabad, Sukkur, Hyderabad and Multan become functional.

Out of seven proposed regional offices of FTO, four have started operations in coordination with Islamabad headquarters. The offices would also be established in Sialkot, Gujranwala and Gilgit. These offices were proposed by the FTO secretariat in 2014.

FTO secretariat officials told Customs Today that offices in Sialkot, Gujranwala and Gilgit would soon start working since authorities were considering them seriously.

FTO to enhance the number of regional offices in order to provide justice to taxpayers. These offices would help monitor tax collecting departments mismanagement closely, they said.
