KARACHI: Four ships Maersk Gibraltar, Thorco Attraction, Da Fu and Mariman scheduled to load/offload container, rice and project cargo were allotted berths at Qasim International Container Terminal and Multi Purpose Terminal respectively.
Meanwhile two more ships MS Busan and Maria-II with container sand LPG also arrived at outer anchorage of Port Qasim MSC Busan and Maria-III with container and LPG also arrived at outer anchorage of Port Qasim during last 24 hours.
A cargo volume of 95,895 tonnes, comprising 82,462 tonnes import cargo and 13,433 tonnes export cargo inclusive of containerized cargo carried in 1,820 containers TEUs) 1,113 imports TUEs & 707 TUEs exports) was handled at the port during last 24 hours. Two ships M.T Al-Ghashmiya and M.T Bahra sailed out to sea on Thursday morning, while three more ships C.V Maersk Gibraltar, C.V CMA CGM Thames and M.T Ginga Ocelot are expected to sail on same day afternoon.
Three ships C.V Mehuin, C.V SMC Busan and M.T Harmony carrying containers and furnace oil are expected to take berths at Container Terminal and FOTCO Oil Terminal respectively on Thursday, while container ships Mehuin, LPG carrier Maria-III and Coal carrier Amoy Action are due to arrive at Port Qasim on same day, and two more container ships San Francisca and Hansa America are due to arrive at Port Qasim on Friday.
