WASHINGTON: Estonian ports in January 2016 handled 3.4 million tons of goods, which marks an increase of 1% compared to the same month last year, informs LETA/BNS. Loading of goods decreased by 1.3% to 2.5 million tons whereas unloading increased by 9% to 821,000 tons.
Compared to December, loading grew by 40% and unloading by 6.3%. In 2015, Estonian ports dispatched and received 34.8 million tons of goods, a fifth less than the year before. Loading of goods made up 24.6 million tons and unloading 10.2 million tons.
