FST adjourns cases filed by FBR employees

ISLAMABAD: Three benches of Federal Service Tribunal held hearing of a number of complaints on Thursday challenging Federal Board of Revenue’s administrative measures pertaining to employees’ ‘seniority’, ‘promotion’ and ‘dismissal’.

FST benches comprising Syed Rafique Hussain Shah and Dr Nazir Saeed; Ishtiaq Ahmed and Muhammad Javed Iqbal Kasi; and Syed Rafique Hussain Shah and Dr Nazir Saeed heard the cases.

Bench-1 of FST, comprising Syed Rafique Hussain Shah and Dr Nazir Saeed heard the cases filed by Muhammad Luqman, Muhammad Ishtiaq, Ghulam Ali Sahito and Syed Muhammad Rafi.

The bench reserved the decision on a case filed by Muhammad Luqman seeking implementation of FST’s earlier decision pertaining to his promotion.

Ishtiaq Ahmed and Muhammad Javed Iqbal Kasi adjourned hearing of cases of promotion, seniority and dismissal filed by Asghar Khan, Muhammad Ushaq,  Yameen Khan, and Muhammad Nawaz.

They had prayed the tribunal to direct the board to implement regulations made for promotion of employees.

Another bench of Syed Rafique Hussain Shah and Dr Nazir Saeed heard the cases filed by Aftab Ahmed Razzqi and Fakhar-ul-Islam’s cases. Both the appellants had approached the tribunal submitting complaints about ‘seniority’. The bench adjourned hearing of the cases with directions to submit relating documents.
