FST to hear over dozen cases filed by FBR employees today

ISLAMABAD: Two division benches of the Federal Service Tribunal (FST) on Tuesday (today) will hear over a dozen cases filed by employees of the Federal Board of Revenue (FBR).

Two division benches of the FST comprising of Syed Rafique Hussain and Dr Nazir Saeed; and Ishtiaq Ahmed and Javed Iqbal Kasi will hear the cases. Both the benches would hear promotion, reversion, and seniority cases.

Cases which would be heard by former bench included Abdul Hakim Khan’s petition on ‘Implementation’, Abida Aslam Rathor’s case on Reversion, Shafqat Rasool Sindhu’s submission on Censure, and Aleem Ahmed’s case about his Seniority. These cases were filed in 2013 and yet were being awaited to be decided.

Ishtiaq Ahmed and Javed Iqbal Kasi would hear cases filed by Inam ul Haque, Muhammad Musharraf, Muhammad Ramzan, Jawad Hussain Memon, Mushtaq Ali Tunio, Ramchand, Ali Dost, Muhammad Abdul Rahim, Ahmed Ali Wasan, Jawad Hussain Memon, and others cases.

Inam ul Haque had filed an ‘Implementation’ case. He had prayed the tribunal to direct the board on implementing its previously announced decision about Haque’s promotion. He had submitted that he was not promoted to the due scale despite serving for years.

Muhammad Musharraf, Muhammad Ramzan and others had filed promotion cases demanded the tribunal to ensure their promotion to the higher scales as per rules of the department.
