FST postpones hearing of three cases filed by FBR employees

ISLAMABAD: The Federal Service Tribunal (FST) on Wednesday adjourned the hearing of three cases filed against the Federal Board of Revenue (FBR).

The FST bench comprising members, Ishtiaq Ahmed and Syed Muhammad Hamid, heard the cases seeking tribunal’s verdict on promotion and implementation matters.

The bench adjourned the hearing of the cases after hearing the arguments and directed the counsels to produce related documents before the tribunal.

These cases have been filed by Muhammad Aslam and Ahmed Hussain respectively. Former had filed case in 2014 while the later submitted cases against FBR in 2016.

Another bench of the tribunal comprising Members, Muhammad Arshad Bhatti and Muhammad Javed Iqbal Kasi also adjourned the hearing due to absence of concerned counsels in a case filed by Rana Sohail Akram.

The appellant re-filed the cases carrying the matter of his up-gradation at the FBR. This case was heard in 2014 intitially and appellant re-petition on the same matter would be heard tomorrow.
