As the proceedings started on the day, board counsel made his final arguments before the bench. The bench reserved decision on the cases carrying submission about ‘extension of study leave’ and ‘correction of date of birth’ filed by employees of FBR.

FBR employee, Sajjad Haider had filed case about ‘extension of study leave’ while Muhammad Shafiq had lodged an application for ‘correction of date of birth’.

Sajjad had asked the tribunal to direct the board to grant him leave for study what employees had been availing at the board since many years.  He mentioned that it was necessary for his career and promotion at the board.

Earlier, the bench had heard arguments on the cases by sides before adjourning the matter. The bench had also issued directives to counsels involved to ensure their presence before the bench on next hearing for concluding arguments on the cases.  It is pertinent to mention that both the cases had been filed during 2016.
