FST to hear transfer cases against FBR today

ISLAMABAD: The Federal Service Tribunal (FST) will hear a couple of cases carrying complaints against the administration of the Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) on Friday.

A bench comprising Members Ishtiaq Ahmed and Muhammad Arshad Bhatti would hear the cases filed by Muhammad Alam and Arslan Mehmood. Both the appellants had filed the petitions carrying matters regarding their ‘transfer’.

The appellants had prayed the tribunal to direct FBR administration on provision of lawful transfer and posting to them. Through the petition they submitted that they had not been given ‘transfers’ to their desired locations, the tribunal is pleaded to direct the authorities concerned on the matter.

The petitioner had raised questions about transfers being made at the department staging that employees’ interest and grievances were not considered in the affair. They prayed the tribunal to also issue directions to the FBR to entertain grievances of its employees on the matter.

Meanwhile, the same bench adjourned hearing of another cases filed by M Iftikhar. The petitioner had filed a complaint about not-granted promotion. The bench adjourned hearing through dating the case in office.

Upon arguments by the counsel, the bench also directed the administration to club the matter with another case of similar nature carrying promotion matter pertaining to FBR.
