During 2015, average time taken for disposal of complaint remained 63 days, the officials said adding that serving short-period notices and initiating complaints’ hearing earlier would reduce the time.

The FTO is set to achieve the target by end of this year, officials said. Main purpose of the endeavor is to speedy-relief to the complainants and to improve performance of tax collecting department, they said.
