Fuel adjustment: Nepra approves KESC’s plea to cut power tariff by Rs 1.64/unit

KARACHI: The National Electric Power Regulatory Authority (Nepra) has approved a request by the Karachi Electric Supply Company (KESC) to cut power tariff by Rs 1.64/unit.

As per details, Nepra has approved the request of the KESC to reduce price of electricity by Rs 1.64/unit under the fuel adjustment of the month of November. According to the officials, the overall fuel cost over the power production has been reduced to Rs 2 billion which would be helpful for the users. Moreover, Nepra would conduct a formal hearing over the request of KESC on January 6.
