GCCI ask for improving tax system

SIALKOT: Gujranwala Chamber of Commerce and Industry (GCCI) has demanded immediate change in prevailing tax system for bringing maximum people including traders under the tax net, saying that the change in the tax system now has become vital which should be made friendly and further simplified for facilitating the business community.

Talking to the newsmen, the newly elected President GCCI Sami Ullah Chaudhary has also urged the federal government to take the business community in confidence, besides taking it on board while making the federal budget ensuring the favourable consideration on the budget proposals to be submitted by the business community to the government, in this regard.

GCCI President also vowed to establish strong mutual trade connection and cooperation liaison with country’s all the chambers of commerce and industry.

He said that Gujranwala Chamber of Commerce and Industry (GCCI) would also focus on exploring the new trader markets and ensuring the easy access of Gujranwala based exporters to the new international trade markets.

He said that the GCCI would also encourage and help the Gujranwala based traders, industrialists and exporters to hold their stalls in all the international trade, industrial and export exhibitions under the supervision of Trade Development Authority of Pakistan (TDAP).

He also urged the government to announce the special package of trade and export related incentives for the small traders, industrialists and exporters of Gujranwala in a bid to give them a sharing hand to flourish, saying that small industries of Gujranwala were also in dire need of proper government attention and encouragement to boom up to strengthen the national industrial growth.
