GEPCO to send cases of 18000 defaulters to NAB

SIALKOT: Gujranwala Electric Power Company (Gepco) has decided to send the cases of as many as 18000 chronic defaulters to National Accountability Bureau (NAB) for the early recovery of the outstanding dues of millions of rupees from them.

According to the Gepco Chief Executive Zahur Ahmed Chohan, the Gepco has jazzed up the pace of its ongoing campaign against the old and new chronic defaulters in Gujranwala Division, saying that the recovery of outstanding arrears amounting Rs 532 million was pending from these defaulters.

He said that Gepco will send the above-mentioned cases to NAB in the first week of October 2015.

He said that the Gepco has repeatedly sent the recovery notices to these defaulters for payment of their dues but they were remaining reluctant to clear their dues. He said that the cases of chronic defaulters would soon be sent to NAB, in this regard.
