Talking to media, Chairman Hafeez Anwar, Vice Chairman Rao Saddarudin , Haji Muhammad Akram, Shehzad Aki Khan and Sheikh Saeed said that Pakistan Cotton Ginners Association would boycott the cotton policy adopted by the government.

“The Trading Corporation of Pakistan is damaging them financially as price of cotton has reduced Rs 500 for the textile mills and the decision of Cotton purchase through Pakistan Trading Corporation will affect cotton growers,” they added.

They said , “APTMA is responsible for cotton crisis in the local market and Textile ministry  along with ministry of Commerce have not call them  even in their single meetings  and  they are imposing their unjustified decisions according to their own will.” More than 800 ginning factories are working in the Punjab and almost 250 in Sindh and 14 million cotton bales come in to the ginning factories up to November 15, according to their statistics.
