GOIC announces to hold training workshop on statistical analysis

DOHA: The Gulf Organization for Industrial Consulting (GOIC) has announced to hold a training workshop on statistical analysis using the popular Statistical Package for Social Sciences (SPSS) software at its headquarters in Doha from June seven to 11, 2015.

The aim of this training is to introduce SPSS and train participants on using this software and benefiting from its features to develop various businesses by analyzing data packages and generating statistical outputs and indicators. In fact, SPSS has become an indispensable tool to analyze various types of data of all sizes. It guarantees an accurate and fast analysis.

Institute of Internal Auditors hold workshop on ‘systems thinking’

This workshop targets professionals working in industrial and economic statistics, statistical authorities, statistical customs departments, financial companies and institutions, investment and contracting companies, in addition to individuals working in data processing and analysis, banks, survey centers and research and development centers, reports QNA.

The training includes several themes, notably SPSS basics, introducing the software, how to identify and classify variables, generating information files, data types and how to input data and process them statistically, saving data and output files, opening files generated by different software, information coding, preparing the code list, describing and naming variables, correcting and printing information, common mistakes, choosing lines, creating sub-files and organizing lines and variables. Furthermore, participants will get to know how to modify generated data, transform variables, create new variables based on original variables through arithmetic operations, create new variables based on original variables by coding and test validity and reliability.

The GOIC continuously seeks to boost individual and organizational capacities within the industrial sector of GCC countries and Yemen through its training courses.
