Govt accepts resignation tendered by FST Member Arshad Bhatti

ISLAMABAD: The Ministry of Law and Justice has notified the acceptance of resignation tendered by Federal Service Tribunal Member Technical, M Arshad Bhatti. Bhatti, former member technical at FST, had delivered the resignation earlier to the Ministry of Law and Justice.

The ministry, in it notification stated: “In exercise of powers conferred under sub section 5 of section 3 of Service Tribunal Act, 1973, the president is pleased to accept the resignation tendered by Mr Muhammad Arhsad Bhatti, Member Federal Service Tribunal, Islamabad.

It is noteworthy that resignation was first received by the Ministry of Law and Justice which further attained its acceptance from the president of state. Bhatti was performing his duty as Member Technical at FST for couple of years.

Meanwhile two division benches of Federal Service Tribunal will hear several complaints filed against Federal Board of Revenue (FBR).

Following two holidays in pretext of Muharam 10, the FST would resume hearing on Thursday. FST two division benches, comprising Members, Syed Rafique Hussain Shah and Dr Nazir Saeed; and another bench of Ishtiaq Ahmed and M Javed Iqbal Kasi would hear around ten complaints through which the appellants had challenged different administrative measures taken by the board administration.

The former bench would hear Muhammad Nawaz Kiyani’s case on ‘special allowance’; Aftab Ahmed Razzqi’s case on ‘seniority’; Fakhr-e-Azam’, Sami-ul-Haq, Noor Jamal’s complaints on ‘promotion’ Gulzar Shah’s case on ‘Counting of previous service’; Farukh Abbas’s complaint regarding his services ‘Regularization’ and Muhammad Arshad Hilali’ petition on ‘seniority’.

While the later bench would hear cases filed by Jan Muhammad Afridi, Rakshanda Aziz Babar and Shaukat Hussain regarding ‘implementation’ and promotions.
